It’s not uncommon for local restaurants to take Mondays off, so we’ve compiled a list of Spartanburg restaurants that are open on Mondays. Lunch or dinner, in the city or in the county, these places will give you a taste of Spartanburg’s unique flavors.

Blue Moon breakfast

BREAKFAST

Depending on your preferred breakfast option, Monday mornings is a good time for an easy meal. Blue Moon Specialty Foods has breakfast sandwiches and their pimento cheese grits available. For something healthy, Health in Hand showcases a plethora of vegetarian-and vegan-friendly juices, smoothies and overnight oat bowls that’ll fuel your Monday.

LUNCH

A lunchtime staple, some of Spartanburg’s best sandwiches are available on Mondays. Converse Deli and The SamMitch Shop are open, as is Blue Moon if you didn’t start your day there.

If your tastebuds are looking to explore, a long list of international flavors are available to you on Mondays.

Lemongrass Kitchen, Monsoon Noodle House, and Lime Leaf Café both open for lunch before taking a brief pause and reopening for dinner. Miyako Sushi Group’s fresh and flavorful sushi rolls are favorites downtown, as are the poke bowls and sushi burritos available at Pokenori.

Venus Pie Pizzeria is open if you’re craving a slice (or two). For a filling burger, head to Nu-Way Restaurant and Lounge, first opened in 1937 and a go-to spot for juicy burgers for generations.

Steak tacos at Burrito Hub

For Mexican flair, check out Burrito Hub’s fast-casual tacos, burritos and bowls, or Mezcal’s upscale twists on the classics.

Wade’s Restaurant is down-home cooking at its finest offering meat-and-three staples and stick-to-your-ribs goodness. And for one of the best lunch deals in Spartanburg, check out Delaney’s Irish Pub’s meat-and-two or meat-and-three lunch special.

Not all of the best Monday lunch options are downtown-centric, though.

Southside Smokehouse sandwich

Landrum’s Southside Smokehouse & Grille, home to 2018 SC Chef Ambassador Sarah McClure, who brings a seasonally-inspired menu featuring Cajun takes on Southern barbecue, and The Hare & Hound are open Mondays.

And in the revitalized Drayton Mills Marketplace, Dray Bar & Grill is serving up its fan favorite sandwiches, burgers and entrees.

Heirloom: A Milltown Eatery modernizes classic Southern cuisine that has been gathered around for decades, prioritizing local and regional ingredients in delicious ways.

Main Street Pub serves up American classics and takes on barbecue, and have great happy hours to boot.

For a taste of Italy, Sophia’s Restaurant executes the favorites incredibly well and has nearly-mind-blowing desserts.

It’s hard to beat a perfectly-cooked steak, and luckily, you’ve got options for that, too. Rick Erwin’s Level 10, on top of the AC Hotel Spartanburg, offers 360-degree views of the city with its attentive service and expertly-handled menu. The Peddler, long a Spartanburg favorite, showcases its steakhouse vibes even on Mondays and on the county’s southern end, Claudio’s Bistro meshes a homey, welcoming feeling with traditional steakhouse offerings.
