Your Evening Out in Landrum

Bursting with charm, Landrum is well-known for its antique shopping, but hidden treasures aren’t where this pleasant town’s offerings end. New restaurants and businesses have reenergized Landrum and best of all, there’s more to come.

So use this guide for an enjoyable evening out in Landrum, and take in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountain views while you’re there.

The core of Landrum is Rutherford Street, where you will find many of the restaurants and shops that have made the town buzz. East Rutherford Street is a prime spot to start your exploring, especially if you’re looking for unique pieces to take home with you.

The Shops at Landrum Antique Mall feature a wide array of pieces, and the Millstone Gallery offers local art, including specialty pieces. (And you can get more information on even more shops at the links above.)

The Hare & The Hound

At the end of Rutherford Street near the train tracks is local favorite The Hare & The Hound. Stop into this classic restaurant and pub for a drink, or peruse the newly-opened upstairs lounge, geared toward the 21-and-up crowd. The lounge will soon have its own kitchen and exclusive menu, to boot.

We mentioned Landrum’s food scene, and with good reason.

Run by former SC Chef Ambassador Sarah McClure, Southside Smokehouse & Grille can satisfy nearly any craving thanks to its ingredient-driven, seasonally-inspired blend of barbecue and Cajun flavors. The menu changes often, but a host of Southern favorites, and a well-stocked bar with more than 100 bourbons, can be found year-round.

The Pasta Station, LLC

If you’re looking for something more internationally-inspired, take a quick ride to The Pasta Station LLC. This local favorite may look unassuming, but its menu packs an authentic Italian punch.

The Pasta Station, LLC

With entrees ranging from fettucine Bolognese, lobster risotto, and veal saltimbocca, The Pasta Station, its comfortable vibe and its extensive wine and cocktail list will fit any dinner date.

Cap off your evening (or get it started) at Bodega Noir, a wine bar and flower shop with carefully-curated wines, a cozy self-serve beer nook, plenty of seating, and an incredibly-Instagrammable décor.

Along with its beverages, Bodega Noir offers floral arrangements, locally-made, craft home goods, fresh pastries and charcuterie, and a comfortable outdoor, shaded seating area that would offer an intimate evening setting.

After exploring Landrum, plan your next trip to one of Spartanburg County’s charming small towns with this guide to all you can find countywide.
