Treat yourself!
It’s everyone’s favorite self-indulgent permission, inspired by NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” Nice clothes, delectable wine and food, spa treatments; it’s all fair game if you plan on treating yourself.
Spartanburg is home to a number of spas that will whisk you away on a cloud of relaxation. (You can’t spell Spartanburg without ‘spa,’ after all.)
Spartanburg Holistic Health & Salt Cave promises a relaxing, tranquil experience sure to rejuvenate your body and mind.
The spa’s namesake features 12 tons of pink Himalayan salt on the floors and walls, creating what’s effectively a salt cave. Time in the salt cave provides a calming atmosphere that is good for the body and the skin, combined with aromatherapy scents and more.
The Salt Cave also offers a variety of massages, including deep tissue and hot stone massages, further designed to calm and alleviate muscle aches and soreness.
For a refreshing experience that’ll make you look and feel younger, Bijou Beauty Bar specializes in skincare and anti-aging treatments. Bijou has a variety of Juvederm treatments, along with Botox sessions, facials, facial massages, peel treatments and more.
Obsessions Salon and Day Spa features a host of spa treatments in addition to its hair salon offerings. There’s microdermabrasion, chemical peels and facials to rejuvenate and freshen up your skin. Obsessions also has a host of massage options, including aromatherapy massages with essential oils, cupping treatments – using suction cups to alleviate aches and muscle pain – and spray tan sessions.
If you’re looking for self-pampering that doesn’t involve a spa, Spartanburg has got you covered there, too.
Bond Street Wines and Carriage House each offer great varieties of wine from across the globe, and have something for any taste.
Carriage House offers more than 500 bottles and now features online ordering, making it easy to browse from the comfort of your own home, place and order and then pick it up at the store.
Bond Street Wines also offers hundreds of bottles from its Wall Street location, with all of the store’s boutique wines handpicked by staff.
Adjacent to Bond Street is the Wall Street Gourmet Exchange, a boutique market specializing in epicurean delights, with a rotating menu of salads, sandwiches and soups as well as cheese and charcuterie boards.
Spartanburg is home to no shortage of boutiques with upscale fashion options. Two favorites, Two Doors Down and Kindred Spirits each offer something unique for yourself or someone special. Two Doors Down has a selection of fashion-forward clothing, jewelry and more. Meanwhile, Kindred Spirits showcases local artists’ creations with functional art created by more than 60 artisans on sale at its downtown store.
And if you’re going to visit, why not treat yourself with a unique place to stay? Clevedale Inn and Historic Gardens offers a touch of history with its top-notch accommodations. Book one of the historic inn’s rooms, or venture back in time and stay at Clevedale’s 1947 Southern Rail X654 Rail caboose car that has been outfitted to house a queen suite for a truly unique stay. Or, indulge with a stay at the Inn on Main— a bed and breakfast right on the edge of Downtown Spartanburg. The Inn on Main’s guest rooms are decorated with ornate furnishings and its location provides easy access to the Heart of the Hub City.
Whether treating yourself means massages and facials, fine food and drinks, a trip out for happy hour or exploring the charm of the county’s small towns, Spartanburg has got you covered.
