As a division of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Spartanburg CVB is charged with promoting greater Spartanburg as a tourism destination.
Our Mission
To enhance the economic impact of tourism in Spartanburg County by increasing the length of stay and spending by travelers.
The CVB is the official point of contact for convention and meeting planners, tournament directors, and visitors. The CVB staff assists groups with site selection, group accommodations and meeting preparation, provides sports tourism information, and markets the region to travelers in order to increase overnight visitation and spending.
The CVB produces official tourism publications; manages the official tourism website for Spartanburg, and provides assistance to host meetings, conferences and major sporting events. It develops advertising and social media campaigns to attract visitors who will stay longer and spend more money.
The CVB administers an official Tourism Information Center at the Chamber offices at 105. N. Pine Street in Spartanburg. Additionally, the CVB convenes sales meetings, and keeps tourism industry partners updated on the latest in research trends and marketing programs, as well as business development opportunities.

An Advisory Board has been established, representing the tourism industry and local government. The role of the CVB Advisory Board is to review the operations of the CVB, recommend strategies and provide direction, and elect a chair who shall serve on the Executive Board of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce.
