27 mile and 61 mile routes for the Tour de Paws benefit ride. 'Dave Proctor suggested the beautiful farm land countryside on the west side of Spartanburg county as a perfect place to carve out a course, and he was right. With one minor adjustment for construction, we have used the same roads for both the 27 mile and 61 mile courses since the first ride in September 2003. Our participation has grown from 125 riders the first year to 295 in 2006. Our growing reputation of a challenging, well marked course, a hot meal after the ride, and 100% of the rider entry fees going directly to the Humane Society have kept everyone coming back and bringing more friends each year.'
