Experience The Annual Tradition Of The Holiday Lights Safari

Posted on Sunday, April 15, 2012

What’s better than seeing thousands of Christmas lights while driving through an enchanted forest filled with herds of deer and safari animals? Beginning Saturday, November 20th you can experience the excitement of lights and animals at the 20th Annual Holiday Lights Safari at Hollywild Animal Park. The event runs from 6-9pm (extended hours on weekends) nightly, including holidays, through Sunday, January 2, 2011.

Regular admission is $6 per person with no per car rates.  For the first time in its history, Hollywild is offering advance tickets at a discounted price, $5 per person.  These can be ordered by phone by calling the office (864)472-2038 or pick up at the park which is open 10 AM – 5 PM weekends through October or during weekdays for groups by appointment.  Group rates are available.

This event has become an annual tradition for individuals and families living through the Southeast and visitors from as far away as California, Alaska, and Canada.

Holiday Lights Safari includes the drive through area featuring millions of lights decorating trees and pathways, lighted shapes including castles, animals, and even Noah’s ark;  the enchanted forest where visitors drive gently through herds of deer and safari animals while feeding the animals from their car windows; and “The Walk” where visitors can park and walk around to visit with animals, warm themselves by bonfires, take a pony ride through a lighted forest, enjoy cocoa and snacks and have their photo taken with Santa.
