Things To Do with Your Family in SpartanburgSpartanburg is full of good times for your whole family. Once you tell them about the water park, the railroad museum, and the Science Center they’ll be eager to come. Then there is the Glendale Outdoor Leadership School, Hollywild Animal Park and Strawberry Hill to get everyone involved. Unique South Carolina Family VacationIf someone in the family loves pirates, Shipwreck Cove Water Park is the place go during the summer. Captain O’Dare and the crew welcome all mates to the adventures of the water slides, and there is a lazy river for those not up for the challenge. If it’s a rainy day, head over to the Hub City Railroad Museum or the Spartanburg Science Center. You’ll learn why we call ourselves “the Hub City” and see many train artifacts or you can hold one of the snakes at the Science Center. If reptiles aren’t your thing, there are lots of hands-on exhibits exploring physics, fossils, electricity, astronomy and more. How about taking the kids rock climbing, kayaking or mountain biking? It can all be done with personal instructors at the Glendale Outdoor Leadership School, with their indoor climbing walls and beautiful location besides Lawson’s Fork Creek. Maybe an Outback Safari is the adventure they’ve been waiting for. Over 500 rare and exotic animals are on 100-acres at Hollywild Animal Park and can viewed from an open-air bus during your trip. During the fall there is an amazing corn maze and hayrides at Strawberry Hill USA in Chesnee . But all year long you’ll find fresh-from-the-field produce and homemade ice cream. If you are coming for business, there will be plenty for family to do while you are in meetings. And afterwards you’ll have some great experiences with them. You’ll want to come early and stay an extra weekend with all the great things Spartanburg has to offer. Need more ideas?
